Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Churches conducted a three days Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Chq Church for the children living in and around Hebron.
A press release informed that total 150 children aged from 5 to teens attended the programme and Rev Seksim Kasar, spoke at the closing service.
The Reverend encouraged the participants to obey the Lord. “You can live a clean life by heeding the word of God alone. You can discard lying and choose the truth by the word of God. If you want to be wise, only the law of the Lord can make you wise. If anyone wants to live a long life and received all the promise of the Bible, then it says obey your parents in the Lord,” Rev Seksim Kasar told the participants.
Addressing the parents and leaders, Rev Seksim said, “Let’s think about our lives and of our sons and daughters. By acquiring wealth, land, houses, wives/husbands (mind the plural) and getting the coveted job or position in government, can we think we have accomplished our life’s missions.”
He also added, “You have achieved a lot, but in the real sense of life according to the Bible, you have not accomplished until and unless you have assured that all of you are saved and born again. If we all lost to hell and miss heaven, we have accomplished nothing. It is sure that we shall take nothing out of this world to the other realm.”
“See that your own children are true Christians or else you have not accomplished your mission,” he added in his speech.
