Counselling on JRF, SRF and ARF exams held at NU SASRD

DIMAPUR, MAY 22 (MExN): The Counselling & Placement Cell, NU: SASRD organized a counseling programme on May 21 to motivate students on skill development and to sensitizing them on JRF, SRF and Agricultural Research Service (ARS) exams. 

Undergraduate as well as Post Graduate students participated in the day long programme divided into three sessions.  The first session was taken by Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman of Livingstone Foundation Society, Dimapur.  He motivated the students on developing requisite skills, being humble and strategies for developing a strong will for success. 

In second session, Dr Vikram R, Scientist (ARS), ICAR NRCM, Medziphema motivated the students for preparing Agricultural Research Service (ARS). He shared the preparation strategy, including writing skills and time management for ARS as well as ICAR JRF and SRF exams.  

The third session was taken by Prof KK Jha, who presented the overview of ICAR JRF, SRF as well as ARS exams and motivated the participants for full coverage of the syllabus and having a focussed approach for success. He also facilitated the interaction of NET, JRF and SRF qualified candidates with the participants. 

Guest faculty, Dr Merasenla Ao and Dr Sashilila deliberated on preparation strategy of ICAR NET in Soil Science and Agricultural Extension respectively. PhD Scholars, M Jangyukala, Hau Ngaih Lian, Kuruba Ajay Kumar from Horticulture Department and Lenmen Yosung from Agronomy Department interacted with the students for preparing NET and SRF exams.

Vijay Kumar NM and Rohan Kumar from the Horticulture Department shared their experience in preparing for JRF exams. Vezolo and Ashutosh from  BSc (Hons) Agri, 2nd year offered the invocation prayer and vote of thanks respectively.
