COVID-19: 2 more recover on Tuesday, active cases tally at 117

With the detection of 5 new cases on Tuesday, Nagaland’s total tally of COVID-19 infections now stands at 127, with 117 designated as active cases. 


2 new recovered cases were reported from Kohima’s Chedema COVID Hospital on June 9, taking the total number of recovered cases to 10.


According to the daily briefing on COVID-19 by Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. 


A total of 152 samples have been tested by Truenat and out of which 114 samples have tested negative and result of 38 samples are awaited, Sinha stated.


According to the Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard, out of 127 cases, there are 86 males and 41 females.


A total of 120 patients are in 18-44 age group while 5 are in the 0-17 age years bracket. There are two cases in 45 - 64 years age group.

 

Dimapur cases hit 100
With 4 of the new cases recorded in Dimapur, the districts total number of COVID-19 cases hit 100-mark on June 9. However, with 8 recoveries, there are 92 actives cases the district. 


Kohima has 19 active cases and 2 recovered cases while Tuensang has 5 cases. Peren district has one single case.


As of Tuesday, a total of 4732 samples have been tested out of which results of 3518 samples have been received and the rest are awaited. A total 5922 persons are presently under facility quarantine, according to official data.
