
KOHIMA, MARCH 27 (MExN): The Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas was today assigned as a liaison for coordinating with other states to assist people from Nagaland stranded across India as a result of the nation-wide lockdown. The Chief Minister issued a note today informing of the officer’s assignment and also provided the officer’s contact number— 8732893116.
He also called for guarding against any instances of discrimination based on race, religion or region and added that the Chief Minister’s Office will also be available for assistance.
“Some people residing in other States for education or work are stranded away from home… we are taking all steps to ensure that people from other States residing in or visiting Nagaland are safe and are taken good care of. Similarly, I request you to take care of the people from Nagaland who may be stranded in your State and could be in need of food, accommodation or medical assistance etc.,” stated the Chief Minister.
