COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs to remain operational in Peren

Peren, July 29 (MExN): The Peren District Deputy Commissioner, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS has issued an order on July 28 stating that the under mentioned guidelines and Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) with regard to COVID-19 shall continue to remain operational until further notice:

• The general public shall strictly maintain social distancing norms and compulsorily wear face mask in all public places in the district.

• All educational institutions shall continue to remain closed with the exception for normal administrative works or for online classes.

• Funeral/Last rites related gatherings, after obtaining prior permission from the respective Administrative Officer, shall ensure social distancing and other protocols and maximum number of mourners/well-wishers shall not exceed 20 (twenty) persons.

• Marriage related gatherings, after obtaining prior permission from the respective Administrative Officer, shall ensure social distancing and other protocols and maximum number of well-wishers shall not exceed 50 (fifty) persons.

• Religious places for public in containment zones shall remain closed. Only those outside containment zones will be allowed to open up subject to strict social distancing norms, wearing of face mask and following all the Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) as issued by the Govt. with regard to Religious institutions.

• Shops within the jurisdiction of Town Councils shall be regulated as per the decision of the concerned Administrator and according to the State Government's existing protocols. Stand-alone shops and outlets outside the purview of the Town Councils shall be permitted to open as per normal hours.

• Shop owners shall ensure that hand sanitizers are provided at their outlets and service should be denied to those who do not follow social distancing norms and those without face mask.

• Spitting and the sale/consumption of tobacco and tobacco products in public places shall continue to be strictly prohibited.

• There shall be restriction on gathering at public places of more than 5 (five) people.

• Any form of unauthorized travel: inter-district, inter-state will remain banned till further notice.
All administrative officers have also been directed to set up and “Enforcement Committee” to ensure that the guidelines are strictly followed. Pecuniary penalties/fines and other penalties may be imposed for willful violators under relevant sections of the National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Indian Penal Code (IPC).
