COVID-19: Nagaland logs 15 new cases, no deaths

Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland rose to 75 with the confirmation of 15 more cases on Tuesday. The new cases were detected from among 111 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours with a daily positivity rate of 13.51 percent.

According to the daily bulletin issued by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme of the state health department, 13 out of the 15 cases were detected during self tests and random testing, while two cases were detected among frontline workers. Six of the new cases were reported in Kohima, Phek four, Dimapur two, while Longleng, Peren, and Wokha reported one each.

The bulletin stated that five persons recovered from the disease in Tuesday, two each from Kohima and Dimapur and one from Peren, while the death toll remain unchanged at 759. With this, the cumulative caseload now stands at to 35,628 out of which 33,291 have recovered.
