Two government offices in Kohima were sealed on November 10 after the death of a suspected COVID-19 positive employee.

The sealing order, issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, on November 10, stated that the Directorate and Secretariat of Rural Development Department were temporarily sealed for a period of 48 hours for sanitizing the buildings, following the detection and death of a COVID-19 positive patient.

This was as per the guidelines on preventive measures to contain spread in workplace settings, it added. 

It said that the sealed areas have been cordoned off and advised "the public and all concerned" to follow all safety protocols, including wearing mask, to ensure public hygiene and personal safety.
