Nagaland, on July 16, registered 14 fresh COVID-19 while 43 others recovered from the infection, state health authorities updated on Wednesday. 


“Out of 286 samples tested, 14 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed,” Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom update on Twitter in the evening. 


The new cases included 12 from Dimapur and 2 from Kohima, he informed. 


With this, the total caseload in the State increased to 916 on July 16. 


Meanwhile, the Minister also added that 43 COVID-19 patient from Peren have been recovered from the infection, taking the cumulative recoveries to 391.


“However, the recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance,” he added. 


As per the latest update, Nagaland COVID-19 status as of 3PM, July 16 stood at: Total- 916; Active-525; and Recovered -391


Out of 525 active cases, 524 are asymptomatic, while there is a single case mild symptom, informed that the Department of Health and Family Welfare’s “Nagaland COVID-19 Bulletin.”


At present, there are 2932 persons under facility quarantine while 4066 are under home quarantine, it added.
