​​The Nagaland State Secretariat, Kohima will be temporarily sealed beginning November 16 on account of detection of COVID-19 cases. 

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kohima made the announcement today, stating that the entire Nagaland Civil Secretariat complex, has been declared a sealed area for a period of 48 hours, from November 16-17, as per the guidelines on preventive measures to contain spread of COVID-19 in workplace settings.

The entire complex will be fumigated/sanitised during the period and "aggressive contact tracing will be initiated following all health safety measures and SOPs of the government," stated the order.

Meanwhile, the public and "all concerned" were advised to follow all safety precautions of wearing masks all the time, frequently washing hands and maintaining social and physical distancing for public safety within the proximity of the sealed area.
