COVID-19: Nagaland tally at 625, 3 districts report zero cases

Nagaland’s tally of COVID-19 cases reached 625 on Monday as a total of 35 fresh cases were reported from the state.


According to the daily bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, 20 of the new cases were from Mon district while Dimapur reported 15.


However, the state also reported 12 cases of ‘recoveries’ on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 243. Out of the recovered cases, 10 were from Kohima and the other 2 were from Tuensang.


With this, the total number of active cases in the state is now at 382.


As per the bulletin, out of the 382 cases, 1 has been categorized as ‘mild’ while the rest are asymptomatic.

 

3 districts report zero cases

Among the 11 districts in the state, Kiphire, Wokha and Longleng have not reported any COVID-19 cases as of 3:00 pm, July 6.


According to the bulletin, Dimapur district registered a total of 213 infections- the highest in the state. However, with 157 recoveries, the number of active cases stands at 56.


Peren recorded the second highest number of cases with 184. The district currently has the highest number of active cases at 167 and 17 recoveries.


In Kohima district, the total number of infections stands at 124. With 58 recoveries so far, the number of active cases in Kohima is now at 66. Mon district has a total of 62 COVID-19 infections, all of which are active cases.


Tuensang recorded a total of 17 cases, out of which 20 are active and 7 recovered. Phek has 7 active cases out of 8 reported cases, and 1 recovered case.


Mokokchung also reported 2 cases which are both active while Zunheboto reported 4 cases out of which 3 have recovered and 1 is active.
