Nagaland University postpones undergraduate exams

DIMAPUR, MARCH 23 (MExN): The Nagaland University (NU) today informed that the forthcoming undergraduate exams which were scheduled on April 2 has been postponed till further notice. A notification from the NU Registrar further informed that all offices under NU would be closed till March 31, except for essential services like medical, security, transport, electricity and water supply.
Controlling officers of these essential services have been directed to draw up a roster of staff required to render essential service during this period.
It asked other officers and staff under NU to work from home and be available on telephone and electronic means of communication at all times. “They should attend office, if called for, in case of exigency,” it added.
Teachers, officers and staff have also been asked not to move out of their respective station. All faculty members/researchers/non-teaching staff have been directed to provide their contact details, i.e. mobile number, email id etc to the respective controlling officers.
Visitor entry into the university premises of all campuses without prior permission from the university authority has also been banned.
