A sensitization programme on COVID-19 was held for officers and staff of allied departments in Phek on May 19.
PHEK, MAY 19 (MExN): The office of the Chief Medical Officer, Phek conducted a COVID-19 sensitization program for the officers/staff of the departments of Veterinary & Animal Husbandary, Social Welfare, DIPR and School Education on May 19.
During the program, Dr Vibeituonuo Mepfuo, CMO Phek acknowledged the Education Department for allowing the use of schools as quarantine facilities. She reiterated that it is the responsibility of all the departments to combat this pandemic, wherein the participantion of the various departments play an important role. She requested the participants to create awareness and sensitize the co-workers on different issues relating to COVID-19.
The resource persons, Dr Lanuakum and Dr K Kuotsu, meanwhile gave a presentation on different topics such as personal safety, hand hygiene, cough ediquitte, social distancing and rational use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Altogether 28 participants have attended the program.
