Dimapur, November 11 (MExN): Trinity Sporting thrashed Case FC 6-1 to continue their dominance for the top spot at the DGP Ground. Trinity Sporting went into the match on a run of 3 consecutive wins. Atokito, continued his rich scoring form by thumping in 5 goals while Gigin added the other goals. Trinity began well and dominated the midfield and to top it off, their striker, Atokito in a devastating goal, hammered in 5 goals. Case FC managed to pull a consultation goal back through Chichang from a long range effort. At the 1st NAP ground, Nizams FC edged past Ruboo united 2-1. Nizams dominated the proceedings with many early chances. However, the strikers could not find the target. Nizams FC were unfortunate to concede a penalty before half time. Lanujungshi of Ruboo converted the penalty. Lalbem equalised right after the start of second half. Five minutes later, a defence splitting ball found Angam on the right of the field, who dribbled past two defenders to cross the ball to Aloto who headed in the winner. Natak FC maintained its winning momentum by blanking Joga Bonito 3-0. With that win, Natak FC has won the last 6 matches with conviction. Natak started the stronger of the two and dominated the midfield with accurate passes. Natak took the lead with a powerful shot outside the D-box by Neibu. After going down a goal, Joga Bonito sprang into life and should have leveled but their strikers could not convert any of their chances with only the keeper to beat. Against the run of play, Natak scored 2 more goals in quick succession both from Ashai. In the 2nd half, Joga Bonito defended well and Natak strikers were kept at bay. It was a day to forget for the Joga Bonito strikers as they could not convert any of their chances. Sporting union thrashed Super Strikers 5-1. Hattrick by Aonungshi powered Sporting Union to solidify the second place. Akum Ao opened the scoring with a long range effort. Aonungshi tapped in the second goal. Sporting dominated the play as Aonungshi scored a beautiful overhead kick to score the third goal. Katovi pulled one back for super strikers but it was not enough. Aonungshi completed his hattrick from the penalty spot. Ekon added the fifth goal before the end of play.
