
Kohima, January 5 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) today announced that the vibrant Chakhesang festival-Sükrünye will take place on January 15.
It will be hosted by three villages of Khomi at Middle Khomi Local Ground (Khalutü).
‘This celebration promises to be a joyous occasion, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Chakhesang community,” stated CPO president Vezühü Keyho and general secretary Chepetso Koza. In addition to the Sükrünye Festival, the 42nd CPO general session will be held at Chizami village on January 24.
This session will serve as a platform for discussions on crucial matters concerning the Chakhesang community, providing an opportunity for unity and collaboration, CPO stated.
In this regard, all the Chakhesang areas and villages have been directed not to coincide any events on January 15 and 24.
The CPO invites all members of the Chakhesang community to join in these significant events.
“Let us come together to celebrate our cultural identity at the Sükrünye Festival and actively participate in shaping the future of our community during the 42nd CPO general session,” CPO stated.
