 
                          
                  
Kohima, June 30 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) today resolved to stand united and to extend its best cooperation to the implementing agencies for the successful completion of the two 2- lane roads Chakhabama to Zunheboto via Chozuba and Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba.
This was resolved in its Executive Council Meeting on June 29 last at Phek Town Council Hall, Phek. The meeting was attended by representatives from all the frontal organizations including Chakhesang Mothers’ Association, Chakesang Students’ Union, Chakhesang Youth Front, Chakhesang Wrestling Association, Chakhesang Cultural Organization, all the seven area presidents, VCC and head GBs from every village.
A press release issued by the CPO, stated that the house further resolved to stand united and to extend its best cooperation to the implementing agencies for the successful completion of the two 2- lane roads Chakhabama to Zunheboto via Chozuba and Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba ; it resolved to impress the NHIDCL and the District Administration Authority to ensure that the contractors are not allowed to compromise quality workmanship; it resolved to ensure that the contractors complete the projects within the stipulated time; it also resolved that CPO has to pursue damage compensation for those whose properties were damaged during Gayatri and Maytas execution of the roads;It also resolved that, unauthorized body be it individual or a group of individuals having any grievances under the ongoing road project, that none is permissible to approach the administrative authorities unless it is routed through its own village council; as per the Article 6(v) the house re-affirmed, that in the event of any area/unit failing to function properly as per the traditional tenants of CPO and when its activities are rather found detrimental to the common interest of the Chakhesangs, the CPO will resort to reformative measures; the house further resolved that VCC’s, Head GB’s and Town ward Chairman are to exercise prudent while certifying Residency Certificate in order to avoid any repercussion relating to Aadhaar Card and Indigenous Certificate and they are to maintain strict adherence in observing Village Council Act.1978. While dealing with various developmental projects, the village authorities are to extend their full co-operation with administrators and other various agencies.
The press release also added that the meeting re-affirmed its commitment to uphold the ban on burning of forest, hunting of wild animals, import of pork from outside the district.
