The two month long Free eye check- up camp was launched today at Phek Town under the aegis of the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) in collaboration with VisionSpring Foundation from Assam.
Addressing the inaugural function at CPO Building Phek town, CPO President, Vezuhü Keyho said that this camp with the theme “Clear Vision, Bright Future” target to cover 5000 people within CPO jurisdiction in Phek District. The camp will target mostly the weavers and artisans to increase lifelong earning in their activities.
After Phek, it will cover Pfutsero and Chozuba area in phase wise. He thanked Sophy Lasuh and Nokho Nyekha for logistic support towards the camp.
Rumon Konwar from VisionSpring said that the team will try its best to reach out to 5000 people. He called upon the people to come forward and avail free check-up.
Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by CPO general secretary Chepetso Koza while khrusazo Nyekha, Associate Pastor, Phek Town Baptist Church prayed for the programme.
Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) president Kevesa Khamo, Phek Town Council Deputy Chairman, Chetezo Akami and leaders from different organizations also attended the inaugural function.
