CPO, WCH appeal for participation at Chakhesang-Sümi Brotherhood Meet

PHEK, NOVEMBER 23 (MExN): In view of the upcoming Chakhesang-Sumi Brotherhood Meet scheduled on November 26, the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has requested each village to delegate a minimum of ten members, led by the Village Council Chairman and head GB, to attend the meet. 

In addition to the village representatives, it extend heartfelt invitation to all leaders and members of the community, with special emphasis on Chakhesang gazette officers and members of Western Chakhesang Hogo to grace the occasion, stated an appeal from the CPO on Saturday.

It also pointed out that the Sümi Hoho has assured a delegation of not less than 2000 members, reflecting their strong support for this brotherhood initiative. As a host, it is imperative for the Chakhesang community to stand in greater numbers, demonstrating our warmth and readiness to nurture this bond, it added. 

Towards this, the CPO has urged all village leaders to ensure timely mobilization and participation. It said the historic occasion seeks to deepen the bonds of unity and mutual respect between the Chakhesang and Sümi communities, emphasizing their shared identity as brothers by blood and not by choice. 

Meanwhile, the Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) also appealed to all its members, president and colleagues of all frontal organizations, chairman and colleagues of the Chakhesang villages and constituents units , the Chakhesang gazetted officers, leaders, and elders to join the celebration of the 29 years of the Chakhesang-Sümi Brotherhood. 

The event, jointly by the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) and Sümi Hoho, will be held on November 26 at the Baptist Theological College Ground, Pfutsero Town, Phek. WCH is anticipating a delegate of over 500 representatives from the Chakhesang community residing in Western area to participate in this important event, reflecting our commitment to unity and collective strength, a press release stated. 

With the apex body CPO extending special invitation to the Chakhesang community residing in Western area, the WCH has made mandatory for the office bearers of all its frontal bodies namely the Western Chakhesang Mothers Association (WCMA), Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO), Western Chakhesang Students Union (WCSU), and Western Chakhesang Goan Bura's Association (WCGBA), to attend and actively mobilize their members for this momentous gathering. 

Additionally, all affiliated units of WCH and Chakhesang villages have been requested to send at least ten (10) representatives or more to ensure strong participation, the press release stated.
