Craft Bazar underway at Mkg town

Morung Express News Mokokchung | March 15   A ten-day ‘Craft Bazar’ is currently underway at Imkongmeren Sports Complex which was formally inaugurated by Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS here today.  

The Craft Bazar is being organized by the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (NHHDC) and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.   Altogether one hundred participants from the northeastern states of Manipur, Nagaland and Assam are participating in the craft bazaar. Various indigenous items like traditional shawls, necklaces, indigenous pickles, bamboo products and wooden handicrafts are being exhibited and sold at the bazaar.   The Craft Bazar will go on till March 24, 2016. The organizers have invited the citizens visit the bazaar and buy the various indigenious products which are being sold at a reasonable price.
