Crèche workers trained in Chumoukedima

Dimapur, May 22 (MExN): Mission Shakti Nagaland under the Department of Social Welfare organised a State-level Training for Crèche Workers under Palna – Anganwadi-Cum-Crèche (AWCC) from May 20 to 22 at the Anganwadi Training Centre (AWTC), Diphupar A, Chumoukedima.

According to a press release, the inaugural programme was chaired by Asangla Jamir, Assistant Director, Social Welfare.

Director of Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi, in her introductory remarks, encouraged the crèche workers to serve with dedication and make full use of the training programme. She also stressed the need to ensure a safe and secure environment for children at crèche facilities.

Secretary, Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland and Mission Director, Mission Shakti, Yongchingkumla, delivered the keynote address. She highlighted that with the expansion of Palna centres in the state, more women from both organised and unorganised sectors should benefit from the initiative.

The course directors for the training programme were Unice, CDPO and Limasangla, CDPO, the release stated.
