Creative Arts with ‘Backstage Campaign’ workshop held

KOHIMA, MARCH 24 (MExN): The Career Guidance Cell of Mount Olive College, Kohima (MOCK) organised a one day workshop on Creative Arts with members of “Backstage Campaign” as resource persons on March 23. During the workshop, the students of B.A 6th Semester were introduced to a wide range of creative fields, enabling them to see an overview of non-conventional professions through sharing of experiences by the resource persons.  

Backstage Campaign is a newly formed group comprising of young Naga Artists in different creative fields including photography, painting, journalism, writing, baking, paper craft, videography, creative carpentry, fashion Design, music, modeling, etc. Asserting that “student life is a backstage, preparing to face the real stage in life”, members of Backstage Campaign have come together to give back to the community by way of sharing their experiences with the belief that giving is the greatest language of love.  

The workshop was designed in such a way that the students can opt for three different fields they are most interested in and learn from the resource speakers in three different sessions. The highlights of the introductory session included invocation by Khekali Aye, Chaplain, MOCK, welcome address by Dr. Narendra Tiwary, Principal MOCK, a special number by Abotoli, B.A 2nd Semester and introduction by “Backstage Campaign” while Vivotuonuo Teresa, Asst. Profession, Department of Political Science, MOCK led the programme. During the culmination session, Dr. Koseno, Asst. Professor, Department of Sociology, MOCK led the programme while Swedezhono Tsükrü, Vice Principal, MOCK proposed the vote of thanks.
