Peren, August 7 (MExN): The Civil Rights Forum (CRF) Peren on Friday condemned the killing of Dichungbe Newme at New Beisumpui village on August 4 by unknown assailants and urged the state government to commission a special Investigation team at the district level to probe into the matter.
Terming the killing as a “direct challenge and a threat not only to the family and villagers but every citizen in the land and society,” the CRF Media Cell urged law enforcing agencies and authority for speedy judicial probe into the case to bring justice and pledged its assistance in the investigation. The forum further conveyed condolences and appealed the government to consider compensation for the bereaved family.
