CRHSS honours successful students at commendation ceremony

Mokokchung, May 4 (MExN): Christian Residential Higher Secondary School (CRHSS), Mokokchung, held its Commendation Ceremony on Monday at the School Discovery Hall to celebrate the performance of its students in the 2026 Class 10 and 12 examinations conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education.

Students securing distinctions in individual subjects were felicitated during the programme, while special honours were conferred on Imnasangla (91.3 per cent), Ozenla Jamir (90.5 per cent), Wangjai Konyak (89 per cent), Mepuyanger (84 per cent) and Imkongsungla (83 per cent) for securing distinction in all subjects.

A number of Class 10 students were also recognised for subject-wise distinctions. Among them were Chingyah K Phom (English, Social Sciences, Agriculture), Koratong Longkumer (Ao), Rongsennungha Lemtur (English, Ao, Agriculture), Shangchu P (Agriculture) and Imlijungla (Ao). Others honoured included Naongmangyang (English), Tiasula Longkumer (English, Agriculture, Ao), Nemali Lihai Phom (Social Sciences, Agriculture) and Pisala Thongru (Social Sciences).

The school reported a total of subject-wise distinctions led by Agriculture with 10 students, followed by English (9), Social Science (8), Ao (8), Mathematics (3), Science (3) and Alternative English (1).

The institution also recognised students who completed their schooling from LKG through Class 10 and 12, acknowledging their long association with the school. Teaching staff were honoured for their role in mentoring students and contributing to the results.

In a significant announcement, the school management said admission fees for the upcoming academic session have been reduced at the same rate as the high school level as a measure to support economically weaker sections, a move welcomed by parents and guardians.

Reaffirming its commitment to holistic education, the school stated that co-curricular and activity-based learning is introduced from the pre-nursery level to promote creativity, sportsmanship and skill development.

The campus is equipped with facilities including a futsal ground, mini football ground, indoor badminton court, separate volleyball and basketball courts, table tennis facilities and music training with coaching support. It also features upgraded science laboratories and smart board-enabled classrooms.

The institution further emphasised spiritual development as part of its vision to nurture well-rounded individuals. The programme witnessed participation from students, teachers and parents, reflecting the school’s continued focus on excellence and community values.
