173 Bn CRPF personnels during the tree plantation drive held at its battalion headquarters at Airfield in Dimapur on April 1.
Dimapur, April 1 (MExN): The 173 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a tree plantation programme at its battalion headquarters at Airfield in Dimapur on Wednesday.
The event was conducted in coordination with Pappu Ram Choudhary, founder of the Oxihunger Foundation, who is on a nationwide cycle expedition from his hometown in Nagaur, Rajasthan, with the aim of scaling Mount Everest.
The plantation drive is part of the battalion’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental conservation and preserve the region’s rich flora and fauna.
Narayan Balai, 21/C, 173 Bn CRPF, lauded Choudhary’s initiative and appreciated the role of the foundation in spreading awareness on fitness, health and the benefits of tree plantation among the public.
Dinesh Chandra Singh, 21/C OPS, Heiyilung Nsarangbe, DC, and unit personnel also participated in the drive and took a pledge to promote such initiatives among the masses.
The programme concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to environmental protection and community awareness.
