CRPF officials discusses upgrading security grid in Nagaland

Kohima, September 14 (MExN): During a visit to Kohima, Randeep Datta, PMG, IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF along with Syamchand De, DIGP (Ops) CRPF Kohima on September10 reviewed deployment and security scenario in Nagaland. 

He called on RN Ravi, Governor of Nagaland, Chief Secretary, Home Commissioner, IG AR (N) and discussed on existing security threat ramifications and upgrading security grid. He also discussed to adopt effective strategy to counter natural calamities through efficacious disaster management. 

Datta, the 1986 Batch CRPF officer with vast experience and proficiency in Counter Insurgency Operations, Officers’ Training and Outstanding Command management has served in many Hyper sensitive States of the Country. 

According to a release by DIG (OPS), CRPF, Kohima, Datta explained about multiple civic action programme executed by CRPF in Nagaland like Blood donation camp, distribution of food/utility items, organizing football matches, Mass plantation, Cleanliness drive etc. He specifically mentioned about Commendable  contribution of DIG(Ops) Kohima Range, 78 & 173 Bn, CRPF during pandemic COVID-19 crises since April 2020 till date by free distribution of ration items, soaps, hand sanitizer, cotton rolls, paper napkin, hand wash, PPE kit, hand gloves etc to the needy people. 

The IGP also stressed and assured to do more community development programme in far-flung pockets for socio-economic development of the poor and needy people of Nagaland in order to win their heart and trust. He further stated that “CRPF is ever-ready to adopt all steps to ensure national integrity, security and peace to the citizens.”
