CRPO members displeased by org’s dissolution

DIMAPUR, JULY 15 (MExN): Six office bearers of the Chozuba Range Public Organization (CRPO) today issued a statement expressing displeasure at the Chakhesang Public Organisation’s (CPO) move to dissolve the CPO.

This was communicated in a press note from Velapra Shijoh, representative to CPO; Rüyoyi Vero, Treasurer, CRPO; Pukhrü-o, Vice President, CRPO; Müswülhü, Secy, CRPO; Veku Sapu, Joint Secy, CRPO; and Rüdutso Vasa, representative to CPO.

Describing the series of events with regard to compensation under the 2-lane project and the CPO’s eventual intervention into the CRPO, the press statement noted that even as the CRPO President “tendered his resignation on moral ground,” the CPO dissolved CRPO.

“Reverence of CPO and reposing of faith on CPO to do justice and to uphold the truth for the welfare of its people turned a futility and regrettable,” it claimed. “Dissolving CRPO before the expiry of its tenure ship when its president resigned on personal moral ground cannot be democratically justified,” it added.

The statement further question “by what legality or impulsion, CPO is giving authority to de-recognise and non existing union body ‘VCCs Union’ to re-organize and constitute a new team of CRPO?” It termed the exercise as a “mockery and an insult to our range people.”

Accusing the CPO of functioning as an “oligarchy,” the CRPO members alleged that “when the new team of CRPO was constituted with ulterior motive, it became explicitly evident that some colleagues from CRPO dissolved team who persistently stood tooth and nail against re-verification, disclosure of beneficiary list, transparency etc became the inductees of the new team.”

“Leaders nefariously involved in this conspiracy which brought disgrace and bad reputation to our range apex body organization deserved condemnation and must be held solely responsible for any future untoward eventuality,” they added.
