Nagaland Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, lAS (NL 87) has been appointed as the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, government of India. Kumar’s name was included in the list approved appointments by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. The list was issued on February 28. In December 2017, there was speculation that that the incumbent Chief Secretary was expected to be move to centre. According to a report, the Addl. Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner, Addl. Charge Justice & Law, B. Thong, IAS may replace Kumar once he is relieved by the state government.
