CSC launches legal literacy prog in Nagaland

Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): The inaugural function of legal literacy progamme through Common Service Centre (CSC) in Nagaland State level was conducted at Dimapur DC Office Conference Hall on March 21. The programme was chaired by district manager of Dimapur Khetilo followed by welcome speech.  

The aims and objectives of LLP project was highlighted by CSC State Project Manager, Nukshilemla who is also State Coordinator for this Project. Imti Imsong, Sr. Advocate, President of Dimapur Bar Association was the main resource person. A total of 22 district manager of CSC and 15 Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) attended the programme.  

A press release further informed that the purpose of the project implemented is to share information with rural citizen especially women and marginalized about basic laws and rights which constitution and Government of India provided for every individual. The main objective of this project is to educate the rural people by spreading the Legal Literacy awareness related campaign.  

The topic covered in this training session will be Fundamental Rights, Women Rights, Code of Criminal Procedure, Right To Education, Lok Adalat and right to information. The VLE will be conducting LLP training to their respective district from March 25 onwards for all the citizen of Nagaland.
