Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): As notified earlier, the Crime Suspension Department (CSD) of NSCN (IM) has begun its crackdown on illegal businesses in Dimapur. Starting February 9, 2016, CSD has raided several businesses in different locations of Dimapur.
A press release from Secretary, CSD, Khekuto Jakhalu informed that the department on February 9 seized 45 bottles of cough syrup without doctor’s prescription from a businessman. On February 13, CSD seized around 60 empty bottles with company seal cap meant for the purpose of bottling and mixing alcohol from another businessman, the release added.
Meanwhile, the department discovered mixing of stone chips, i.e., ¾ and 0 size stone chips, in six stone crushers on February 15. On February 16, the CSD recovered a bike (Pulsar 150 cc), which was handed over to the rightful owner in the presence of I.O, Urban Police Station on February 24.
Further, on February 17, the Crime Suspension Department nabbed two women with 340 kg of contraband ganja at Singrijan area. The same was destroyed in the presence of STH Toluvi village on February 26, the release said.
