CSE VLE Society urges village councils in Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland

Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): The Common Service Centre VLE Society of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland today urged all village council heads, GBs, or Chairpersons to first approach its office before engaging any CSC Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) for availing schemes such as PMJAY/CMHIS/PM-VISHWAKARMA or any CSC-related schemes initiated by the Government of India (GoI).

The CSC VLEs operate under the aegis of the Ministry of Information Technology, GoI, and the Society of VLEs is duly registered by the government to oversee the functions of VLEs, and it would deploy VLEs based on requests received from the Village Councils, the Society said.

As per the Society, such steps, among others, are vital to centralise the process and eliminate misunderstandings among VLEs regarding their business operations.

It is also a measure to abolish the practice of overcharging by VLEs by establishing fixed charges prior to deployment, it maintained.

Stating that there were some cases of CSC being wrongly associated with fraudulent activities, the Society said it was a measure to protect the reputation of CSC VLEs by preventing misuse of their name.

Maintaining that proactive steps are being taken to foster transparency between CSC VLEs and the villages within its jurisdiction, the Society requested all village authorities to extend their cooperation to the office.

The State Team, District Team, and Society Team will not be held responsible for any incidents arising from drives organized by villages without prior intimation to the office, it added.

For inquiries regarding drives or complaints, individuals can contact the CSC VLE Society office at +91-7005279571 / +91-7005707658.

These steps were adopted after extensive deliberation with the State Team and District Team, it added.
