
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 5 (MExN): To deliberate on the Longnak-Mangkolemba road project, a meeting was convened between the administration, represented by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) and the Executive Engineer (PWD), and the people of Mangkolemba subdivision, represented by the Civil Society Organization Mangkolemba (CSOM) on September 5 at the ADC’s chamber.
A press release issued by CSOM general secretary Wapongtoshi, informed that during the crucial meeting, several important points were discussed and decisions were made. The Executive Engineer (PWD R&B) expressed the commitment of the department to commence work on the Longnak-Mangkolemba road project. Further, the EE (PWD) assured that the progress of the project would be diligently monitored, with updates provided by the concerned contractor every 15 days.
On the other hand, the CSO, representing the aspirations and concerns of the local community, emphasized the urgent need for the road project to begin and set September 10, 2023 as the deadline, failing which the CSOs would initiate further steps to meet their demands.
