
Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students’ Union has appealed “all those Headmasters/ Head Teachers and faculty who had abandoned its responsibilities and are away from its duty” to respond to its call of duty as an educators. Realise the big role assigned to you and as an educator understand the struggles of the students especially in the villages who are longing to learn and be a responsible person in the society one day, CSU stated in a press note issued by its President Dode Nakro and General Secretary, Nuvokho Rhakho.
Maintaining that its sole aim is to promote and protect the welfare of the students, the CSU has also appealed the department to strictly check the irregularities of the teachers especially in the rural areas and requested the authority to inspect the schools functioning in order to improve and promote quality education.
A consultative meeting of CSU held with all its affiliated unit and sub-ordinate on March 8 at Chetheba Town Hall, besides discussing other issues, thoroughly debated and discussed the poor attendance and inactive responsibilities of the Headmasters and Teachers posted in different Govt schools under its jurisdiction, CSU informed.
Presiding over the meeting, CSU President had also highlighted it as a pertinent issue for student’s welfare which needs to be addressed urgently, it added.
While acknowledging those Headmasters and Teachers, who are tirelessly rendering its best service to the students and schools despite many trials and difficulties, the Union also requested them to continue to give its best service keeping in mind that “the future of the society lies in their hand and that the students are the assets of our society.”
The meeting also highlighted different activities undertaken by the Union in the year 2016 under the banner “Year of Academic Excellence,” CSU informed in its press release.
