CSU ask officers to be present in office

Kohima, January 5: The 67th general conference of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) will be held from January 20 to 22 at Khuza town to be hosted by ten units of Tizu area under the theme “Catalyst for reformation- culture and education.”

In this connection, owing for the necessary preparations, CSU president Thüpukütho Lohe asked all the heads of department and staff in district HQ Phek to be in their respective office premises from January 6 onwards.
CSU also sought support and co-operation from all the concerned departments, public and well wishers in making the historic conference a grand success.

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Chotisuh Sazo will be the chief guest at the inaugural function while minister for PWD (roads & bridges) and parliamentary affairs Kuzholuzo Nienu will be the guest of honour.
Minister for school education C.M. Chang will be the cultural guest while Neposo Theluo, Deputy Commissioner Phek will be introductory guest.

Er. Dikhrolo Mero, chief engineer, PWD (R&B) will grace the valedictory function.

Hüsazü Epao, principal, Patkai Christian College will be the resource person.

Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Tongpang Ozukum and Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Sovenyi will also share greetings. K. Phesao, director school education (HS) will also exhort the gathering.

The conference will be marked by workshop on disaster management, cultural competition, union assembly, presentation of awards etc.

There shall be awards for Lt. Goyiepra Kenye Memorial Award to the HSLC toppers during the academic session 2012-2013, Lt. Niesatsü Khamo Memorial Trophy Award to the folk dance winners and Lt. Zekope Krome Memorial Trophy Award to the folk song (Duet) winner.

Khuza Town is situated at an altitude of 1300 metres above sea level, bounded on the east, west and south by Tizu villages and on the north by ‘Xamunuboto’ range of Zunheboto district. Khuza town lies 15 kms from District HQ Phek and 25 kms from Chozuba town. Khuza town is the one and only EAC HQ in Tizu area which was inaugurated in 2002.
