CSU express revulsion at act of ‘national workers’

Kohima, Oct 7 (MExN): “Any group of faction who claims to have supremacy by killing more Nagas does not have the moral authority to be in the supreme service of Naga national Movement” stated the Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) adding that whichever factions kills a Naga and subjugates Naga brethrens was an enemy of the Nagas.

The CSU was condemning the “unruly and dastardly” incident at Rikizu, Pfutsero, Phek district in the wee hours of October 6 wherein Nievohu Chuzho, son of Nieyicho Chuzho hailing from Thipuzumi village and presently studying in class IV Model School Rukizu was shot in the leg during the attack by NSCN (IM) cadres on FGN cadres.

“The CSU fails to understand the motive of the underground factions in attacking and fighting with full arms and ammunitions against each other in the civilian areas without any respect and concern to the appeals of the public not to fight in civilian areas and also maintain cordial co-existence,” CSU President Meitsikhoyo Yhobu and General Secretary Vevoyi D Vadeo stated in a press statement.

It reminded that the injury and mental trauma inflicted on the innocent student and his parents by the underground cadres tantamount to violation of human rights and that it was terrorizing in nature.

While sharing its anguish and grief of the injured and his family, the students’ organization asserted that from factional fights, no faction would win the sympathy and allegiance of the people, but only loathing and anger.

Further expressing its strong revulsion, the CSU stated that the activities of the present Naga national workers and undergrounds have become the biggest destroyer of nationalism and have demoralized the upcoming Naga generation to the national cause.

Appealing for reconciliation among Naga factions and to stop bloodshed amongst them in the name of the Naga cause, the CSU asked the underground factions to restrain and refrain from attacking and combating each other and camping in civilian areas.
