DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 17 (MExN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has demanded the termination of 2 Junior Soil Conservation Officer (JSCO) in the Soil and Water Conservation Department on or before March 11, 2024. With the expiry of the ultimatum date, the CTAN in a press note on Saturday said it would be compelled to lockdown the Directorate of Soil and Water Conservation. The CTAN said it had served the first notification on September 9, 2019 and second representation on December 18, 2019 demanding nullification of regularization of the two JSCOs appointed on June 3, 2016 which clearly falls under the purview of NPSC. Again, on March 10, 2022, it served an ultimatum to the department to which they clarified that “There’s no question of termination since they no longer serve in the department.” However, it is learned that they are still serving in the department till date and is under the process of regularization, which clearly contradicts the contract agreement - the appointee has no right to claim regularization in any case, the CTAN stated.
