Chetheba, March 27 (MExN): The 52nd session annual youth day of Chetheba Town Baptist Church (CTBC), Christian Youth Endeavour concluded at Chetheba Town Baptist Church on Sunday. The three-day annual meet was held from March 24 to 26 under the theme “In Step with God”.
During the meet, three group were divided namely Galatians (Junior team Chetheba), Philippians (Senior team Chetheba) and Ephesians (Kohima sector). Altogether 96 members were registered as the choir members. The praise and worship team was led by Agape College, Dimapur who came along with the main speaker Thepukhoyi Kezo, Lecturer, Agape College, Dimapur.
This annual meet, one-day workshop was introduced on the topic ‘the value to youth life’ on Saturday the programme was moderated by Vezokho Swuro.
The annual meet also sees the group competing in different event such as solo, duet, theme song, group indigenous etc. For theme song competition, Ephesians (Kohima) was awarded as the first and Philippians (senior team) 2nd position. While group Indigenous song, the 1st position was bagged by Galatians (Junior team) and 2nd by Ephesians (Kohima team)
On the second day, sports activities such as Volleyball and Tug-of-war for both men and women were also part of the annual youth day. The sports were enlisted to bring a better relation and collaboration among the group. Volleyball (Men) was won by Ephesians (junior ) and runners up bagged by Philippians (senior) while for tug of war for women, Philippians (Senior team) defeated the Junior team in the final.
Philippians (Senior team Chetheba) was adjudged as the group champion and was awarded with a cash of 10000 Rs, donated by Nuzota Swuro in memory of brother late Dr Sulucuyi Swuro.
