CHÜMOUKEDIMA, MARCH 1 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Town Council has issued a directive requiring all concerned proprietors to obtain a trade license or register their private institutions, including schools, firms, hostels, coaching centers, PGs, private nursing homes and health and medical institutions within one month from the date of the order. The order is issued under the Municipal Act 2023, Chapter-1, Section 124 (1) (h), which grants the authority to impose taxes and levy fees within the limits of the municipality. The council has warned that defaulters will be strictly dealt with according to the provisions of the law.
