
CHÜMOUKEDIMA, MARCH 19 (MExN): In an effort to maintain public safety and reduce environmental impact, Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) has issued a mandatory directive for all sand carrier vehicles operating within Chümoukedima Town jurisdiction to cover their load with tarpaulin.
In a press release, ADC and Executive Officer CTC, Dr Kuzonyi Wideo informed that all commercial vehicles transporting sand and other loose materials must be equipped with secure and waterproof tarpaulin covers to prevent spillage and minimize dust pollution. The directives aims to reduce the risk of accidents caused by loose debris on roads, minimize environmental pollution from dust and sand and ensure public safety and maintain cleanliness in our town.
In this regard, vehicle owners and operators have been advised to comply with this directive to avoid penalties and fines. It also informed that CTC will conduct regular inspection to enforce compliance
