Tuensang, June 16 (MeXN): The Changsao Thangjam Setshang (Chang Women Organisation) has vehemently condemned what it termed as a "heinous act" upon a domestic helper and a student in Class 9 in Mokokchung.
According to the CKS, the act was allegedly committed by one Nungshi Tula, wife of Ngaku Chollen, a resident of Mokokchung town on June 7.
The organisation expressed shock and grief over such an unfortunate incident in civilised society, amidst widespread awareness and sensitisation programmes aimed at preventing such acts.
Accordingly, the CKS appealed to law enforcement agencies to take swift action against the accused and ensure that she is booked under the relevant sections of the law without the possibility of bail.
Earlier, the Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students' Conference) also condemned the incident.
