CU and CSU of Saksi support ultimatum to power department

Tuensang, July 2 (MExN): While supporting the recent ultimatum of the Saksi NAP Sector 13th Ward Union following the failure to restore the 33KV transformer by the Power Department, Chang Union (CU) and Chang Students’ Union (CSU) of Saksi NAP sector 13th Ward today lamented that the public have suffered enough without electricity for more than three months, but the department concerned has turned deaf ear to the numerous appeals.

A press release issued by CU President, H. Wongto Chang and CSU President, Nato Y. Chang affirmed to strongly stand in support of the ultimatum which clearly stated, “in case of failure in fulfilling the demand of the public to restore the power supply on or before 7th July 2016, the concern department shall be solely held responsible for any untoward actions.”   Further, the union cautioned that the inability of the Power Department to replace the damaged transformer for such a long period of time is “beyond tolerable and as such public cannot hold any more patience if the department fails to restore it.”
