Kohima, March 15 (MExN): The International Women’s Week celebration from March 1 to 15 under the directives of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India culminated with an event held at Panchayat Hall, Sepfuzou Colony, Kohima.
As part of this International Women’s week, the State Resource Centre as the PMU of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao has been organising various programmes such as pledge board exhibition on women centric schemes, painting competition on BBBP theme, signature campaign, and celebration of International Women’s Day celebration.
The programme was jointly organised by Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) and State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) – Women Helpline 181 and Sakhi-OSC.
Meneno V., Research Officer, SRCW chaired the programme and Juliana Medom, Asst. state Coordinator, SRCW gave the introduction on the International Women’s Week and BBBP. Legal Entitlements and Rights of Women was shared by Vitsino Iralu, Call Responder, Women Helpline 181 while Toli, Counsellor, Sakhi-OSC, Kohima briefed the audience on Women Helpline 181 and Sakhi-OSC. The vote of thanks was proposed by Pfüreiu Thevo, vice-chairman, Sephuzou colony.
