Cultural cum Parents Day celebrated at Whito School Kohima

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): Whito School, Kohima, celebrated its Cultural cum Parents Day with the theme ‘One World, One Family: Celebrate the Blend of Culture, Traditions, and Family’ on September 21 at Grace Hall, Chandmari. The event was graced by Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu, a poet, academic, educator, and fashion icon, as the Special Guest.

In her address, Dr. Keditsu emphasized the importance of preserving cultural values. She urged parents, teachers, and students to maintain close communication to ensure the best educational outcomes. “Culture is our identity in society,” she stated, adding that cultural education fosters respect, love, and peaceful coexistence, highlighting that all people are part of one human family. The event featured cultural performances and traditional attire, showcasing the evolution of cultural heritage from the era of forefathers to the modern digital age. The program is a part of the school’s annual curriculum activities.

Earlier, Vikhriezonuo Pucho, the school administrator, delivered the welcome address, followed by an invocation by Chingpen Konyak, evangelist of Christ Church. Nurulislam Choudhury spoke on behalf of the parents, and Dr. Viral Yore, the proprietor, offered a special prayer.

The program was hosted by Lilen Phom and Sentiakum Jamir, with a vote of thanks proposed by headmaster Moses Pfotte.
