Longleng, October 17 (MExN): The Christian School Tangha in collaboration with Government High School Yotan, Government Middle School, Government Primary School Sector (A), and Government Primary School Sector (B), celebrated cultural day cum literary competition under the theme ‘Bumien Teipu’ (Prehistoric) at Conference hall Tangha village under Longleng district on October 15.

Speaking on the theme, P Hamphe Phom, Pastor (TBC) said young generations should follow in the footsteps of our older people to keep our culture alive, stated a DIPR report.

He talked about various kinds of crops and seeds which can be sowed at different times of the year and that should be known by every young generation. “If these young generations fail to maintain cultures and traditions alive, there will be lots of disorder in associations and in the family,” he stated.

In conclusion he stated, “We declare ourselves as Phom from Tangha Village but we will remain ignorant of so many things if we don't maintain as it should be. Therefore, we should be equally educated with our traditions, culture, and customs as we educate ourselves with the worldly knowledge.”
