Cultural hall inaugurated at Haraka temple

Jalukie, July 2 (MExN): A cultural hall was inaugurated at Haraka temple premises in Jalukie Town on June 27. The hall was constructed by 18th Assam Rifles, Jalukie.  

Prasad Gorpade, CO 18th Assam Rifles inaugurated the cultural hall as chief guest in the presence of guest of honour, D. Abraham, former Deputy Speaker of Zeliangrong Baudi, Nagaland.  

According to a press release from Haraka Council, Jalukie Town, the chief guest stressed on the importance of culture and identity and urged to make good use of the hall. D. Abraham also encouraged the youth not to astray from the path of their ancestors.  

Tasile Zeliang also spoke on the important role of Haraka in preserving and keeping alive the rich Zeliangrong culture.

Students of Haraka Vidya Bharati School, Jalukie cheered the gathering with melodious patriotic song and cultural dances. Bamy Hau, Secretary, Zeliangrong Haraka Association NE and Ramjehang, President, Zeliangrong Haraka youth NE were also present at the function.

Earlier, the programme began with prayer by Haraka Priest followed by welcome speech by Diralung. The function ended with vote of thanks by Hainbaing.
