Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, Music Task Force and State Lotteries, Khriehu Liezietsu today released a folk song album of Cultural Vibrant here at Riileizou.
With this, Cultural Vibrant had accomplished four folk song albums to its credit since its formation in 2000.
Cultural Vibrant Kohima consist of five sisters, all daughters of Meguo-o Mechiilho and Riivokhrie-ii of Kohima village. They are Pelevinuo Mechiilho, Vingukhonuo Mechiilho, Kethosenuo Kire, Khriesatuonu Zuyie and Neilazo-ii Whuorie.
Apart from their performances in the state and across the country, they had also performed in Indonesia and Bangkok.
Speaking on the occasion, Liezietsu was appreciative of Cultural Vibrant for giving their best effort to promote and preserve the rich culture and traditions of Nagas through folk song.
He was optimistic that their journey in propagating the folk song will go a long way in keeping alive the rich culture and good traditional value of Nagas.
Kohima Village Council (KVC) chairman Medoselhou Keretsii and Meguo-o Mechiilho also spoke on the occasion.
The function was chaired by Vilalhou Noudi, art executive, art & culture department while Neivizolie Chielie, pastor Khedi Baptist Church invoked God’s blessing.
Naga People’s Front (NPF) president Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, Theja Meru, president Rattle & Hum Music Society and several other dignitaries also present on the occasion.
