The highly anticipated Miss Phek 2024 Beauty Pageant kicked off on October 22 with a dazzling Curtain Raiser and Sashing Ceremony at Ji’bah Book Cafe, Pfutsero.
Zhonelu Tunyi, president, Chakhesang Mother’s Association graced the ceremony as the special guest. Ezhotou Keyho, Managing Director (Events) of Vogue Entertainment Nagaland delivered keynote address.
She emphasised the pageant’s objective to empower women and promote cultural exchange. 14 contestants will vie for the coveted title and will showcase their skills, talent and beauty over the next few days.
The contestants include Sera Theyo, Kacheu Puro, Vetolii Chuzho, Vemiisiilii Chotso, Akam Thongru, Riini Pojar, Petshou Mero, Menyeweu Thele, Visiilu Rume, Etolii Shijo, Muluvieo Koza, Huralii Dzudo, Depeu Vero and Vesavolii Swuro.
The Grand Finale will take place on October 26 at 6:00 PM at Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium, Pfutsero.
John Tsulise Sangtam, Deputy Commissioner of Phek, will be the special guest at the Grand Finale. Adding glamour to the event, Thounaojam Strela Luwang, Femina Miss India 2023’s 2nd Runner-up, will attend the Grand Finale. She is expected to arrive at Dimapur Airport on October 25.
“We are thrilled to host Miss Phek 2024, providing a platform for young women to shine,” said Ezhotou Keyho. “We look forward to an exciting finale,” she added.
