Curtain Raiser to Patkai 50th anniversary on Jan 20

Patkai, January 17 (MExN): The Curtain Raiser Programme of the yearlong 50th-anniversary celebration of the Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) will be held at the College’s Bundrock Chapel Auditorium on January 20.

The Curtain Raiser will kick off several events scheduled throughout marking the Golden Jubilee milestone of the college.  

In this connection, the organising committee has extended invitation to all alumni and well-wishers to join the Curtain Raiser on January 20.

As per the press release from the committee, PCC was established as  a liberal Arts College with the motto "Lux et Veritas: Light and Truth” on August 28, 1974. Over the years, the college has emerged as one of the premier educational institutions in Nagaland as well as the North-East Region. 

Among its achievements, it was the first college in the North-East to be granted Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission in 2005 and was first college from Nagaland to feature in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 list of top 200 colleges in India, it highlighted. 

It is now a multidisciplinary institution of higher education offering courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Music with 15 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate departments, it added. 

Additionally, there are Diploma, Certificate, and Add-On Courses for undergraduate students.
