Tuensang, May 15 (MExN): Parliamentary Secretary for Municipal Affairs, R Tohanba inaugurated Customary Court and Government High School (GHS) at Mangko EAC Headquarters in Tuensang district on May 13.
Reminding the gathering that Mangko EAC Headquarters has witnessed fast establishment of Government buildings compared to other EAC HQs under Yimchungrü area, Tohanba called upon all to have a feeling that all Government buildings are for the welfare of the public. Hence, he asked to utilize and maintain the same as their own.
He further stated that Mangko EAC HQ, which covers 14 villages under Mangko range, can be converted into well established town if only all the concerned stakeholders, public and various village councils extend co-operation to the Administration, according to a press release from his Personal Assistant.
Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Secretary urged the public of Mangko range to settle in the newly inaugurated EAC HQ in large number so that various department offices can be established to serve the public at their doorstep. He also urged to maintain unity among village councils and prioritize education in the area, stating education is the first step for development and to bring changes in the society.
A brief note on GHS profile was shared by Thrunso, Project Assistant, SSA/DMA Tuensang. Short speeches were delivered by Zhelo, Chairman, Kiutsukiur Village Council; Kiumuhean, Chairman, Shiponger Village Council; Keozih, YTC; and Ramji, Head GB, Y/Aunru Village Council.
