Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The Customs (Preventive) Division, Dimapur under the Commissionerate of Customs (Preventive), North Eastern Region, Shillong destroyed 407.671 kg of ganja valued at Rs. 18,04,305 along with other miscellaneous goods (cigarettes, cosmetics, mosquito repellants, FICN etc) of foreign origin valued at Rs. 12,46,350 on April 23 at M/S Kapa Bricks, Ahozhe village, Dimapur. The ganja and other goods had been earlier confiscated by the officers of Customs (Preventive) Division, Dimapur, according to a press release from Assistant Commissioner of the division, Imkong Toshi Ao. The destruction was carried out in the presence of Additional Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), NER HQ, Shillong, Assistant Commissioner and officers/staff of Customs (Preventive) Division, Dimapur, Judicial First Class Magistrate, Dimapur, and village authorities.
