Jalukie, March 17 (MExN): The College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CVSAH), CAU (I), Jalukie, conducted a free vaccination-cum-animal health camp and awareness programme at Council Hall, Lilen village on March 16. A total of 57 participants attended the programme held under the leadership and guidance of the CVSAH Dean, Dr I Shakuntala, and funded by ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines, Hisar, Haryana.
Apart from consultation services, free anti-rabies vaccination, mineral mixtures, deworming drugs, antibiotics, and other veterinary medicines were distributed to the farmers, covering a total of 540 livestock, including poultry, during the event. As part of the programme, a farmer-scientist interaction was also held, followed by a free vaccination-cum-animal health camp, informed a press release. In the technical session, Dr Gunjan Das, Professor & Head, and Dr Bhumapati Devi, Assistant Professor, delivered lectures on the topics "Important Diseases of Cattle and their Management" and "Management of Important Post-partum Diseases of Pigs," respectively.
