DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): Chekiye Village Students’ Union (CVSU) lifted the 6th Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union (HASSU) Football Running Trophy. CVSU comprehensively defeated Lhomithi Village Students’ Union four 4-0 in a lopsided final encounter held Saturday, April 2 at the Chekiye village ground. The two teams made it to the final from a pool of sixteen teams, representing all the sixteen units of the union. Chief Engineer, Police Engineering Project, Er. Vetokhu Yepthomi graced the closing function as the chief guest. The champions were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 12000, plus a glowing running trophy; while the runners-up had to content with Rs. 6000.
